Our God and Our Creator,
Today, our Nation pauses to pray–to ask for your blessing, to beg for your mercy, and to recognize that we cannot survive apart from your amazing grace.
As war fighters whom you have appointed, we thank you for training our hands for war and our fingers for battle. With you as our guide, we go forward with profound moral courage, knowing that our cause is right, both for our Nation and for freedom-loving people everywhere.
We remember with gratitude the generations of Soldiers on whose legacy we stand, and we pray especially for the generation currently deployed in this global war on evil. May their aim be steady and true. May they be filled with faith, belief, loyalty, and love. Grant them boldness and violence of action to crush all who oppose life, liberty, and the United States of America. And may their valor perpetuate the words of that great patriotic hymn: “Long may our land be bright, with freedom’s holy light, protect us by Thy might, great God our King.”
AMEN
